One might expect that a collection of songs by an aspiring Toronto teen singer might have an amateurish feel to it. Not so with Martha Joy’s self-titled 2006 offering. The cd is a production of Lenz Entertainment. Producer Jack Lenz has worked on such high profile projects as Mel Gibson’s ‘Passion of the Christ’, ‘Men With Brooms’, ‘Sue Thomas F.B. Eye’ and various other motion pictures and television series. Song writing and production credits include such notables as Pamela Oland (who’s songs have been recorded by a long list of major recording artists such as Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra, Selena, Aretha Franklin and many others) , Mark Masri and Adam Crossley.

We are introduced to Martha through the inclusion of Cedars of Lebanon (JK Gulley) which she sang for the United Nations Global Peace Initiative in Geneva Switzerland in 2002. She recorded this song at age 11 and her talent was apparent even then.
